Botanical Art ~ Whites

9 am - 12 noon
The Wildlife Garden Design Course has been postponed until later this year.
Garden & Wildlife
This is a new section covering gardening jobs, projects and wildlife.
Please keep Feeding the Birds as many are now feeding hungry mouths demanding food! However, please do NOT put out Bread as there is no nutrition in this and may swell and lodge in a baby birds’ gullet choking them. Food should be Meal Worms, Niger and Sunflower Seeds, Fat Balls (take off nylon mesh which may catch in birds’ feet) and Peanuts in a container. Don’t forget the Water!
Monthly Project: Make sure there are gaps in your garden borders for Hedgehogs (5 inches²)
We have now finished the cladding on the outside and all the windows are in. So, on to the interior and the cladding inside this month.
I am hoping the studio will be finished before the courses start after Easter – Fingers Crossed! At least we will not at the mercy of the weather now.
Details of all the courses, including Art, Horticulture, Nature Talks and Walks, can be found on my website and Brochures are available for your friends who do not have computers, just let me know and I will send them one.
You can also find Testimonials for my art classes on my website as well as my Art gallery, a Map of the venue and an Enquiry/booking form if you have any questions or would like to note an interest or book one of my course.

Botanical Art ~ Yellows ~ Beginners
1 Day Course
Saturday 24th February
10 am - 3.30 pm
I will have botanical art workshops throughout the year, starting with yellows for beginners. Yellow can be tricky to deal with so we will be painting a seasonal daffodil, having said that there probably won’t be any available! You will need to bring a packed lunch with you or there are two pubs in the village if you prefer a hot meal.
As some of you may already know, I am converting a garden building into an art studio and presentation room for my courses. This is a work in progress, we have gutted the inside, which filled a skip and this weekend we managed to fit the front door and window, hopefully we will have the side windows and guttering fitted next weekend.
There will be free parking near the studio once it is opened.
You can find testimonials for my art classes on my website as well as some examples of my art work, a map of the venue and an enquiry/booking form if you have any questions or would like to note an interest in one of my course.
Since I have moved back from Devon to East Sussex I seem to be having trouble with my website appearing in searches for ‘art classes’, ‘garden design courses’, ‘botanical art classes’ or ‘nature walks’ etc…. although I am appearing in the Yell Ads and on google and bing maps. It will of course come up if you put in the website title, in the left border.
Not sure why I am not coming up on the search engines and will be contacting my website provider this week. Fingers crossed they can fix it.
* Don’t forget there are Gift Certificates available for presents, which you can order from the website.
* If you cannot attend a course, then some are available as Distance Learning and I will be gradually adding to these.
* After the Easter Holidays in April there is a short Wildlife Garden Design course starting on the 7th April for those who just want to learn but not take an exam, the course will last 8 weeks, further details in the next newsletter.
Keep safe and happy learning
